A Secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Stockport are seeking a Youth Work Teaching Assistant to support within the classroom supporting pupils in KS3. The role would require you to assist with pupils educational development, as well as a focus on their social, emotional and mental health needs.

The young people at this school can display challenging behaviours that are shown through verbal and sometimes physical aggression. Experience working with young people who display challenging behaviours is desirable and will benefit when working with the young people within the school.

This school provides full or part time education for young people who have been excluded from their mainstream school. The aim of this setting is to re-integrate pupils into mainstream, whilst supporting with their social and emotional development. In some cases, re-integration is not possible and pupils will spend their school time within this setting. This school allows specialised and focused support for young people who have social, emotional and mental health needs.
