Youth Work - South Manchester
Do you have experience working with young people and now looking to do this in an educational setting?
Secondary schools across South Manchester are seeking Youth Workers to join their pastoral and support teams and core subject departments as Teaching Assistants. There are number of Youth Work vacancies, which include both full time and part time positions, and temporary role as well as on going. Secondary schools are looking for motivated Youth Workers who will bring energy to the role, and will act as positive role models to their pupils. The successful Youth Worker will be able to display a good level of behaviour management when working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Main Points of Youth Work Position:
- Gain experience in a range of Manchester Schools
- Pay rate £275 - £325 per week
- Develop your skills working with young people
- Gain classroom based experience before going on to your PGCE
- Supportive department who look to mentor young teachers
As a Youth Worker, you will be working within the school as a TA. One side of this Youth Work role will include pastoral work, where you will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis offering support in and outside the classroom. Another side of this Youth Work role will involve working within the English, Science and Maths department, supporting the classroom teacher. You will be working with pupils inside and outside of the classroom, on a 1:1 and small group basis.
