Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit youth workers looking for a role within education. The role requires you to support a class where pupils may have learning difficulties and or challenging behaviour, engaging the pupils and keeping them on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. Trips to the local shop or park may also be required of you when deescalating a situation. The school is run by a successful team of supporting staff that are more than happy to help out when they can. The students that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. The expected time that candidates are to work will be between 8:30-3:30. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £50.44-£60.00 based on experience.

The ideal Candidate will:

  • Have experience working within a youth environment
  • Be confident in engaging pupils
  • Show great resilience
  • Have proven patience when dealing with an escalating situation
  • Have great behaviour management skills
  • Team Teach Trained (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
