Youth Work/Behaviour Teaching Assistant Wanted!

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a school based in Coventry, who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school is a Pupil Referall Unit that caters for children aged 14-16. The school follows the National Cirriculum very closely, and the students are expected to pass their GCSE's.

Your role will be on the side of supporting them during their studies on the social and emotional side. The majority of these students have come from difficult backgrounds, and do have social, emotional and mental health issues so it is impotant that you have the right personality.

You will have the opportunity to mentor a specific student on a 1:1 or small-group basis, guiding them through their day as they overcome their personal barriers to learning. Day-to-day, you will be building strong relationships between student's home and school life to create a consistent learning environment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
