Youth Outreach - Batley

Job description

A Pupil Referral Unit in Batley are looking for long term support staff to provide outreach support to it's Key Stage 3 students. The school caters to young adults that have been expelled from mainstream education, for various reasons, and might display some challenging behaviour or try and abscond. We are looking for someone who can engage these students on a 1:1 basis through outreach and activities. The role is full time and ongoing into next year.

The school asks for candidates that have a calm, resilient and nurturing approach to the way that they support the students and you must have experienced working in a SEN or SEMH setting before (whether this is with children or adults). We especially encourage candidates with the following experience to apply:

The ideal candidate will also hold a valid driving license and will have or be willing to get Business Insurance on their car.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
