Year 6 Teaching Assistant Required for a St Austell Primary

Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in the St Austell area of Cornwall who are seeking a confident Teaching Assistant to support within their Year 6 Class.
Working hours - 8.15am - 1.10pm, Monday - Friday.
Start date - ASAP
Contract length - ongoing
The role of a Teaching Assistant is -
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work.
- Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
- Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils achievement, progress, problems etc.
- Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses.
The school are ideally looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has previously supported within a Primary School, preferably in a Key Stage Two setting. You must be enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and willing to be involved with school life.
