Year 6 Teaching Assistant

  • Part-time role (9.00am-12.30pm)
  • Supporting children in Year 6
  • Primary School in Clitheroe (BB7)

A primary school in Clitheroe (BB7) have approach Teaching Personnel as they need a KS2 (Year 6) Teaching Assistant to provide additional support across the Year 6 class. The role is part-time (9.00am-12.30pm) and to start as soon as possible. As you would be covering a gap in staffing the role is until May half-term with the view to continue until the end of the academic and into September 2021.

The majority of the time you would be working as a general teaching assistant within Year 6, depending on the successful applicants experience the role may involve Maths and Enlgish interventions. Normally this would be in preparation for the end of year SATs however these intervention sessions will help the children when transitioning to high school in September 2021. The Year 6 class teacher would plan the intervention sessions and you would regularly meet with the class teacher to discuss curriculum coverage/ objectives and next steps. 

The Head Teacher is looking for the following:

  • Level 2 or above qualification
  • A confident and experienced Primary Practitioner
  • Keen to commit to a long-term role
  • Confident to deliver intervention sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
