The School

A faith School in Clitheroe (BB7) require a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for the rest of the Summer term. The role is required on a part-time basis (9am - 12.30pm). In the morning sessions you will be supporting small groups of children within Key Stage 2 (Year 6) during Maths and English. Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and experience within Upper Key Stage 2 is essential. The Head Teacher would like to meet shortlisted candidates, in addition they would like them to spend a mornning with the class and have the opportunity to meet the class teacher.

The Head Teacher is looking for the following:

  • Level 2 or above qualification
  • An experienced KS2 Practitioner
  • Confident with delivering engaging interventions
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Superb behaviour management

The Teaching Assistant role:

  • Full-time
  • Working across the Key Stage 2 classes (Year3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6)
  • Leading Maths and English intervention sessions in the afternoon
  • General Teaching Assistant duties
  • Flexibility to work across different classes within KS2
