A school in Bury (m45) is looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 2 (Year6) Teaching Assistant. The role is long term position starting in October with the option to go onto a school contract. The role is to support the year 6 class, helping to raise attainment in both Maths and English.
The Bury school, graded "good" by the new OFSTED framework, is a one and half form entry school has a friendly atmosphere and has an extremely supportive staff structure. The schools recent Key Stage 2 results have been in the top bracket in the Bury area and they are looking to carry on with this progression.
The successful candidate would ideally have a Cache Level 3 qualification. The school are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who has a passion for working with children helping raising attainment. They will want to learn how to assess pupils' progress and have high expectations of themselves and the pupils in their care. They would have a good understanding of the national curriculum and be confident in both Maths and English.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
