Year 6 Teacher - South Shields

April 2019 start date with possibility of securing permanent role.

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a committed and creative Year 6 Teacher to join a two form entry school that are working towards improving their delivery of lessons in the lead up to SATS. The Head teacher boasts high expectations of learning which has lead to the requirement for an enthusiastic individual to begin after the Easter half term on a full time basis for at least two terms with potential for extension. The School are looking to appoint a Teacher that is willing to boost motivation within the 30 pupil classroom and deliver engaging lessons in order to raise the current standards. Based in South Shields the School were recently marked 'Good' in their Ofsted report and boast an extremely supportive team who are very welcoming of new staff. Located close to local transportation links (Bus/Metro) the School is easily accessible and also offers free car parking.


  • UK recognised QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Previous SATS experience
  • Valid DBS (A Child Workforce that is accessible through the Update Service)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)

Details of role:

  • Teaching a Year 6 Class of 30 pupils with 3 SEN pupils
  • Work in partnership with teachers and other professional agencies to provide effective support with learning activities
  • Full time role commencing 22nd of April 2019
  • Must undertake the planning, teaching and assessment of all subjects
  • Be responsible for the education and welfare of Y6 pupils
