Year 6 Teacher required

Job description

Are you experienced working within Yea r 6? Do you have experience supporting pupils through SATs? Do you have a real passion to make a difference to pupils learning?

If so a larger than average Primary School located in the Breightment area is currently looking to appoint a Year 6 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave, from February until Summer, with the possibility of been extended into September and going onto to contract for the right person.

The school is looking to appoint someone with a good knowledge of SATs, but who is also understanding of pupil's backgrounds and is able to adapt to suit the individual needs of each pupil.

In order to be successful for this role you will need to:

  • Have a minimum of a years experience working within a Year 6 Class.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Be able to demonstrate Good teaching practice, planning and delivering lesson that engages and supports the needs of all learners.
  • Be able to implement effective behaviour management strategies and have a strong classroom presence.
  • Have experience carrying out small group and 1:1 interventions.
  • Have examples of where you have been able to raise the attainment of pupils that you have worked with.
  • Have a real passion to make a difference.
  • Be a strong communicator and a good team player.
