The School:
The school is located in a ‘challenging’ Preston catchment area, with the majority of children arriving in school from disadvantaged backgrounds. The majority of these children are from Indian and Pakistani backgrounds and in some cases they struggle with language development. The school is a larger than average Primary with 3 classes per year group. The Head teacher is a well driven and committed leader who ensures all staff in school are well supported and led to raising standards in the classroom.
The role:
The role is to commence after the Lancashire October half term and will continue until at least Easter 2017. The expectation is that the successful practitioner will take up the role on a full time basis and be expected to plan, deliver and assess the KS2 Curriculum tailored towards the Y6 SATs. There will also be the added responsibility of; parents evening; class reports; homework clubs.
