Year 6 Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
- The school has undergone significant transformation over the past four years and has improved its Ofsted ranking substantially
- The school has firmly set its sights on continuing to improve its year 6 performance and the successful candidate will be perfectly placed to be a part of a rewarding and highly effective transformation which will provide them with invaluable career experience
- Chance to work in the heart of Westminster, small classes, excellent facilities and strong behaviour management
Uneven Year 6 performance has underscored the need for a strong and patient communicator comfortable with general teaching and interventionist learning. Whilst attainment at the school has improved substantially in recent years, it has been uneven and the primary role of a new teacher will be to raise attainment across the whole of year 6 to afford broad opportunities for all individuals to develop their full potential.
The candidate:
A QTS is essential, as is UK-based experience of teaching KS2 and preparation for secondary school. Demonstrable experience in providing language development support would be hugely beneficial, particularly in teaching EAL. Considered applicants need to be fully competent in delivering numeracy & literacy to year 6 in line with the national curriculum.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers to be an active and integral part of one of central London’s most notable reformations. A revamped staff, significant improvements in managerial oversight and a renewed focus on parental involvement have been the centrepieces of the school transformation and Teaching Personnel is looking for the right candidate to continue to take the school from strength to strength.
Interested candidates should send their full CV and covering letter to abigail.debruin@teachingpersonnel.com or call me directly on 0207 593 3076 for more information on the position.
Please feel free to also contact me regarding other positions on offer by Teaching Personnel.
