Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in Blackburn, who is looking for a Year 6 teacher to cover a maternity leave within school. They are looking for the suitable candidate to join their team in November 2020 until July 2021. As of April 2021, there will be an opportunity in school to plan and deliver SATS booster sessions outside of the classroom.

You would be teaching a class of 28 pupils with a full-time teaching assistant who has very good curriculum knowledge. There are a high percentage of children within the class working towards age related expectations. The Head Teacher has stressed the main teaching target would be to prepare the children and to raise their attainment leading up towards their SATS.

The school are seeking:

  • An individual with the commitment to driving standards
  • A teacher with experience of raising attainment of all pupils
  • A professional who is able to work in partnership with parents
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

The ideal candidate:

  • Primary Teacher - Fully Qualified Teacher or NQT
  • Available to work from November 2020 until July 2021
  • Able to provide 2 relevant references
  • Must have or be willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS
  • Must be able to plan and delivering engaging lessons

The role:

  • Start date: November 2020
  • End date: July 2021
  • Full time/ Temporary
  • Blackburn
  • Salary GBP100 - GBP145 per day (varies depending upon experience)
