Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in Accrington, who is looking for a Year 6 teacher to join their team in November 2019 until April 2020. As of April there will be an opportunity in school to plan and deliver SATS booster sessions outside of the classroom.

You would be teaching a class of 27 pupils with a full time teaching assistant who has very good curriculum knowledge. There are a high percentage of children not reaching their age related expectations. The Head Teacher has stressed the main teaching target would be to prepare the children and to raise their attainment leading up towards their SATS.


The school are seeking:

  • An individual with the commitment to driving standards
  • A teacher with experience of raising attainment of all pupils
  • A professional who is able to work in partnership with parents
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

The ideal candidate:

  • Primary Teacher - Fully Qualified Teacher or NQT
  • Available to work from November 2019 until April 2020/ July 2020
  • Able to provide 2 relevant references
  • Must have or be willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS
  • Must be able to plan and delivering engaging lessons.

  • End date: April 2020/ July 2020
  • Full time/ Temporary
  • Accrington
  • Salary £100 - £160 per day (varies depending upon experience)
