I am currently urgently looking for a Year 3/4 teacher for a small, rural school comprising of 4 mixed age classes in the Cranbrook area.

The school currently has just over 100 pupils on roll serving the children of the village and beyond. The teachers are encouraged to be creative, enthusiastic and the children at the school love to learn. The school has been in the village for nearly 200 years and has classrooms in the original Victorian building, as well as mobile classrooms. There are amazing facilities at the school including an enormous school field and an outdoor swimming pool; and they are well resourced for both curricular and extra curricular activities. Every class has the support of a teaching assistant for the benefit of the children and teachers. This school is part of a group of schools that work closely together in order to raise standards across the local area and provide support to each other. They endeavour to enjoy their rural links by using the environment to support studies and go on whole school 'Welly Walks' where other family members are invited to join!

The school is extremely proud of the many opportunities that they can offer both pupils and employees. They are renowned for their creative family events such as Woodland Day and Winter Wonderland. The children love taking part in whole school productions - whether at school, in the Church, on the field or at the National Trust theatre at Smallhythe Place.

The school is a thriving, vibrant place to be, with a friendly enthusiastic staff, supportive parents and Governors. Their last Ofsted inspection was in November 2012 and the school was recognised as at least Good in every area.
