Year 6 Support Assistant Required in Salford

Level 2 Year 6 Teaching Assistant required

Grade 5 - £11,352 - £13,331 per annum. £9.50 - £11.15 per hour.

28 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year.

Do you hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent? Do you have experience supporting pupils within year 6 classes? Are you looking to have a real impact on pupils learning and their final stages within a Primary Setting?

If so a larger than average primary school located in the M5 area of Salford is currently looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to work in their Year 6 Class, on a full time basis, starting as soon as possible. As part of the role not only will you be providing general support throughout the classroom, you may also be expected to work with small groups providing interventions to aid in raising the attainment of pupils.

In order to be successful you should:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience of working within a year 6 setting.
  • Have strong levels of Maths and English.
  • Experience working with Pixel is desirable.
  • Have strong behaviour management.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Have experience supporting pupils on a full class, small group and 1:1 basis.
  • Have a real willingness to make a difference with pupil's learning.
