An Ofsted 'Good' school is looking for a dedicated year 6 Teacher to join their team. The Head Teacher of this Burnley Primary School is looking to employ an experienced Year 6 Teacher who has a proven track record of delivering good results. She would like an experienced, enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team and help raise attainment in Year 6. The role would include teaching a larger class of 32 'well behaved' pupils with a high percentage of children not reaching their age related expectations. The Head Teacher has stressed due to a recent increased intake of INA children, the main teaching target would be to prepare the children and to raise their attainment over the terms leading up towards their SATS. You will need to have good curriculum knowledge and be able to deliver high quality pre - planned lessons.

The position is to start after February half term and is to cover the current Class Teacher who is going on maternity leave in March. The Class Teacher will be there to lead interventions to boost the year 6 pupils with the lowest age related expectations until her maternity leave.

The school is a one form entry Primary School which is situated just outside Burnley Town Centre and is easily accessible to find. The well reputed school are recognised for their warm atmosphere with a nurturing and dedicated team. Due to the school having a high percentage of EAL and INA children the Head Teacher ensures she 'applies all support needed for the staff and pupils'. The facilities of the school are excellent including large play grounds and plenty of learning areas for intervention groups. The Head Teacher has also said she has a 'helpful and dedicated team which build the successful progression of the school'

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £100-£150 per day

Monday to Friday (40 hours)
