KS2 Teaching Assistant Needed

We are working with a large forward thinking, innovative primary school in a residential district in the centre of Dover here at Teaching Personnel. The school benefits from the support of an ICT technician, a FLO, a PSA and a dedicated pastoral support team who contribute to the well being of pupils and staff. The school has a large building with spacious and well-resourced classrooms, a hall with a stage area, a separate dining room and plenty of outdoor space.

The successful candidate will:

Work in partnership with class teachers and other TAs to achieve the best outcomes for the children each day during morning lessons

Deliver high quality personalised interventions and support during the afternoons to enable children to make accelerated progress– if your passion is in supporting Literacy, Maths or Pastoral skills, the school would look to place you within one of the dedicated teams and would support your continuing professional development

Be ambitious and motivated, demonstrating high expectations of yourself, as well as our children

Have a positive outlook; be vibrant, with a sense of optimism and the ability to be flexible in order to meet children’s needs

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of the school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with the children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet the children’s needs.

Candidates must have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs A-C including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above. Candidates must have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
