Are you an experienced year 5 teacher? Could you support a Roman Catholic ethos? Do you have a good understanding of the year 5 curriculum? Are you looking to develop within an established school, which aims to support staff in all their further development?

If so a Good primary school located in the WN2 area of Wigan are looking to appoint a year 5 teacher to work as part of a strong supportive KS2 team, to cover a maternity leave starting from Easter.

A successful candidate should:

  • Have a strong subject knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Be able to demonstrate good or outstanding practice ensuring that all pupils are able to progress
  • Have a proven track record of raising attainment
  • Have effective behaviour management techniques and have a strong classroom presence
  • Be able to differentiate activities to ensure that the learning needs of all pupils are met

The class is a mixed ability class and is looking for an established teacher to help them reach their full potential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
