Teaching Personnel are working with a client school in Scarborough to recruit a Year 5 Teacher that can undertake a Full Time role from February Half Term. The school is situated in Eastfield and "believe in putting children first by broadening their horizons to open a world of lifetime opportunities so that they can thrive and contribute in the ever-changing modern society".
Those who apply should hold a Primary Teaching degree and have experience of working in Year 5. You should be confident in being able to differentiate your teaching style to meet all the needs of pupils within the class and be able to adapt to an ever changing school environment. Those who apply should also be able to work towards the school's motto which encompasses their vision and aims for everyone within the community "Excellence through effort, aspiration and high expectations, We can because we believe we can."
As a teacher you should also be confident in working alongside another Year 5 teacher in order to effectively plan and deliver lessons that match the school ethos and reach National Curriculum expectations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 6 months experience of working in Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2
- Experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to differentiate your teacher style to meet the needs of all
- Patience and the ability to work with challenging behaviour should this arise
