Experienced KS2 Teacher required for a ‘Good’ school on the outskirts of Blackburn

  • 9 month Fixed Term Contract
  • Starts November 2016 – ends Jul 2017
  • Up to M6 pay scale (negotiable depending on experience)

The Headteacher of a popular, multi-cultural, one-form entry Primary School on the outskirts of Blackburn is seeking an experienced KS2 Teacher for a fixed term contract commencing in November 2016 for 9 months.

The school is a small voluntary controlled popular Primary School made up of 7 single year classes from the Reception Year to Year 6 and was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2015. The majority of the pupils are from British White backgrounds, the proportion of disadvantaged pupils is around twice the national average & the number of pupils with Special Educational Needs is above average. The school stands in three acres of grounds and is located in a quiet village around 6km north-east of Blackburn with public transport links close by.

The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher who has the passion and drive to ensure the children in school receive the very best education. A proven track record in raising attainment is required, in addition a solid understanding of the National Curriculum and the confidence to deliver it. You should also have proven experience teaching in a classroom and recent classroom-based references.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
