We are seeking a dynamic and innovative teacher for a local small Church of England Primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne in Tameside, OL6 to join their Year 5 class in the KS2 Department. The position is a job share role and will be working Mon-Wed 3 days a week. They will be responsible for the day to day running of the Year 5 classroom which houses up to 22, 9 and 10 year old children on a part time basis.

Job description and expectation:

• Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed.

• Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and

Challenge.

• Make effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study.

• Select appropriate learning resources and develop study skills through library, I.C.T. and other sources.

• Ensure pupils acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught.

• Establish effective working relationships and set a good example through their presentation and personal and professional conduct.

• Contribute to the corporate life of the school through effective participation in meetings and management systems necessary to coordinate the management of the school.

• Develop and maintain effective communication with the job share class teacher and other member of staff.
