Job description

I am currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children who present challenging behaviour. Have you worked with children with autism or SEMH who have behavioural issues who require additional 1:1 support?

The school is based in WA11 area of St Helens

I am looking for a learning support assistant who ideally:

Has a TEAM-TEACH or equivalent qualification

Has extensive experience implementing behaviour management strategies

Is able to promote positive behaviour, whilst maintaining, clear and authoritative boundaries.

The role is to support a pupil in Year 5, Key Stage 2, who has severe and challenging behaviour, who may lash out and have aggressive outburst towards staff and other pupils in school.

The school have a very welcoming ethos and are looking for someone with a friendly, approachable nature, who is able to hit the ground running.
