Job Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 8.40-3.30)

Salary: £9.50 - £11.50 per hour

Start date: Tuesday 29th October 2019

End date: Friday 17th July 2020

A primary school have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source an experienced key stage 2 teaching assistant. The faith primary school is located in Accrington and they are looking for a committed individual who can start after October half term until the end of July 2020. The role is one that will require an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the classroom. You must have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and expectations in Year 4.

The class is average sized with children from varied backgrounds; the majority of pupils are white British. The role is to support the whole class and work with different ability groups during Maths and English sessions. Three afternoons a week you would be required to support the children who are working 'Towards Age Related Expectations' and deliver booster sessions for Maths and English to ensure they reach their full potential.

The Head teacher is looking for the following:

  • Level 2 or above qualification
  • An experienced KS2 Practitioner
  • Confident with delivering engaging interventions
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Superb behaviour management
