A primary school in Sunderland are looking to recruit an experienced KS2 Teacher to provide intervention lessons in school

  • Part time flexible working hours
  • Rewarding 1:1 and small group work to boost attainment in literacy and numeracy
  • 2 form entry school with welcoming and supportive SLT

We require an experienced and fully qualified teacher with a proven track record of delivering interventions to support a group of lower ability Year 3/4 pupils for the spring term at a school in Sunderland. The position will begin as soon as the ideal candidate is available and will run until May half term with potential to be extended until the end of the summer term. This role is suitable for NQTs. Core knowledge of the KS2 Literacy and Numeracy curriculum is essential as is the ability to strongly differentiate activities to make them accessible for pupils of all ability. Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education and Hexham Newcastle Diocese with additional local school partners. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Child Protection in Education, Prevent Duty, an accredited Holistic Approach to Behaviour Management, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Read Write Inc. and Safeguarding. In addition to this we work alongside many leaders of education and have our own ex-head teacher that provides candidates with bespoke, high-quality training. The CPD on offer will assist with your personal and career development, making you a highly sought after candidate.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
