PMLD Classroom Assistant required in an SEN school in Alton.

We are looking for a PMLD Classroom Assistant to join a team in an SEN school in Alton. The PMLD Classroom Assistant will be needed on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday). The school are looking for someone who has experience supporting Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs. You will be expected to support with personal care and feeding as part of this position.

As a PMLD Classroom Assistant you will support learners through play-based and sensory activities. You will work with students 1:1, and closely support the teacher and medical staff.

Pay Rate: £10.77 Per Hour

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm

Requirements for the Role: All Requirements can be applied for through Teaching Personnel

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Level 2 Safeguarding Qualification
  • 2 Employment References

Duties:

  • Attend to pupils’ personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • Be proactive in lessons and work to own initiative.
  • Support with general classroom duties i.e., tidying, making materials.
  • Help monitor and evaluate learner’s progress.
  • Follow safeguarding rules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
