LOWER KS2 TEACHER – PRESTON – JANUARY 2020 START
Are you a qualified and experienced KS2 teacher who is looking to work within large Primary School in Preston?

The School:
This is a large ‘inner-city’ Preston Primary School serving a mixed catchment area. The school is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Chorley, Leyland, Blackpool and Garstang. The Headteacher is committed to whole school improvement and is keen to secure a teacher with a strong academic background, preferable somebody who has experience working within an ‘inner city’ school due to schools mixed catchment area.
The school have a well established senior leadership team and have very few staffing changes. Behaviour in school is generally good; this is reflective of the re-bust behaviour management strategies consistently implemented across the school by all staff.
The Role:
This position has cropped up due to a recent resignation and the school are keen to appoint a teacher who would be interested in a permanent role in school. The school are looking for a teacher for EITHER Year 3 and Year 4 – dependant on the skillset of the applicants. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake the full teaching role; planning, delivering and assessing the children in line with the local framework and the National Curriculum. Candidates must hold a strong subject knowledge in all curriculum areas especially in Maths, Reading and Writing.
The pay and working hours:
The rate of pay will reflect the role and also the level of experience of the successful applicant. It is expected to fall within the bracket of GBP100-GBP130 per day, based on a 6.5 hour working day. To confirm also, this is a full time role to start from January 2020. The expectation is that the role will continue until July 2020 with the view to extend into the 2020/21 academic year onto a school contract.
How to apply:
To apply for this role, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status. You must also be experienced in KS2 and be prepared and committed to raising standards in the classroom. The school are keen to secure a teacher who will work collaboratively with the staff team and share the whole school community ethos.
