Year 3 Teacher - Bacup Primary School

Available from November 2019 for the rest of the academic year

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £90-£150 per day

Start date: Monday 18th November 2019

End date: Wednesday 22nd July 2020

The School:

The primary school is average sized which has mainly white British heritage children. The children tend to arrive from challenging backgrounds and so the entry level is lower than National Average particularly for Maths, Reading and Writing. The school strive to meet the needs of all learners therefore have recently recruited a number of additional experienced teaching assistants across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. These additional members of staff are utilised to plan and deliver interventions in the morning sessions. Each class has a full time general teaching assistant who has received a wealth of CPD since working in the school. The Head Teacher feels like it is important to provide valuable and relevant training for all staff within school.

The Role:

The school is seeking to employ a temporary Year 3 practitioner who can effectively build positive relationships with staff, children and their parents. The Head Teacher has stated that it is key to raise standards in academic ability as well as social and communication skills. You be expected to contribute to the wider school community by attending INSETs and staff meetings. You must be committed not only to the role but also to be treated as a member of permanent staff. You will have your books and planning scrutinised and lessons will be observed.

In order to be considered for this role you must hold the following as a necessity:

  • QTS in Primary Education
  • Experience in working with children in a Primary setting
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2
  • Have at least two education based references from your most recent employer(s) which are 'GOOD' or 'OUTSTANDING'.

You must also be available to take up a full time teaching role. You must be able to commit to the role for the rest of the academic year, with the opportunity to continuing further.
