Year 3 Teacher

Full time role

Primary School in Blackburn

September 2020 start

A Primary School in Blackburn requires a Year 3 teacher on a full time basis. This school has been consistently using Teaching Personnel for a number of years & have been happy with the service & candidates that have been provided. Due to a gap in staffing the school are looking for a full time teacher in Year 3 to start in September until December initially, with the view to continue if they have a successful term in school. The Head Teacher is keen to consider all suitable candidates with recent lower Key Stage 2 experience, both fully qualified and newly qualified teachers.

The incoming Year 3 teacher will need to be willing to take on full time responsibilities including, planning, marking, data entry, continual assessments etc. You would be expected to attend weekly staff meetings and relevant twilights during the term. The class you would be teaching are average sized with a mixed catchment of white British and Asian heritage. The Head Teacher is committed to ensuring every child in the class receives the appropriate support, in light of the school closures, there will be a big emphasis on a nurturing approach alongside behaviour and SEMH support in September. There is an experienced teaching assistant in the class who is well organised and will work well alongside the successful applicant.

In order to be considered for this role you must hold the following as a necessity:

-          QTS in Primary Education

-          Experience teaching Lower Key Stage 2

-          Have at least two education based references from your most recent employer(s) which are ‘GOOD’ or ‘OUTSTANDING’.

Next Steps:

The Head Teacher is mindful of the time of year and hoping to short list suitable candidates by the 20th July. Once the suitable candidates have been shortlisted there would normally be an observation and an informal interview however considering the school closures and summer holidays, the Head Teacher has advised that they would like to do an informal interview via a telephone or video call.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
