Year 3 Teacher - **Altrincham**

A school where everyone is valued and work together to reap the rewards an 'Outstanding' school brings are currently looking to recruit a Year 3 teacher. The school and its hard working team are looking for a team player to join them in lower key stage 2 at October half term. There will also be a hand over period prior to the half term so you can get to know the school, staff and most importantly your class.

Your role will include:

• Preparing medium term plans for each curriculum area, with reference to the current scheme of work, a half term in advance, having regard for continuity and progression in learning.
• Preparing short- term plans in sufficient detail to have a clear view of how each individual lesson should develop
• Keeping clear records of the children's progress in accordance with school policy
• Marking work promptly in accordance with the school's Marking Policy and ensure all feedback to children helps them to make progress in their learning
• Foster an atmosphere in which caring relationships are likely to be nurtured
• Follow all codes of practice in relation to school discipline, health and safety regulations, the reporting of accidents and the organisation of school trips and events
• Organise the classroom in an attractive fashion and display the children's work to the best possible advantage
• Report to parents verbally at Parents' Evenings and by means of written reports in accordance with the school's Reporting Policy
• Provide cover for absent colleagues, as requested
• Take a full part in staff meetings, department meetings, Open Mornings, special events and parents' evenings
• Keep the on-line attendance register and related correspondence in line with regulatory requirements
• Take on a fair share of supervisory duties, in accordance with staff duty rotas, to ensure the smooth running of the school
• Attend school assemblies and prepare for Celebration Assembly presentations, as detailed in the termly calendar
• The Class Teacher is responsible for planning the activities of any non-teaching assistants who may work with them
