Maternity Cover - Full Time - Alfreton - Year 3

This Primary School is a vibrant and diverse area in Alfreton. The school relishes the challenge of supporting all children and families to achieve their full potential. The Primary School was graded Good by Ofsted in December 2018 and is determined to develop children who have a lifelong love of learning.

We wish to recruit a talented and enthusiastic class teacher to work in Year 3. We are interested in candidates with a belief in creative, cross-curricular learning and a passion for delivering a broad, balanced curriculum.

The post is to work Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm) to cover a maternity leave. The temporary appointment will be from 25.02.19 - 31.12.19.The successful candidate will join a team of caring, hardworking practitioners and be both supported and challenged to enhance their teaching skills.

To be considered for the role, you must have:

  • Relevant experience teaching within KS1 or KS2 (Preferably Year 3 experience) who can do prep, planning and carry out assessments.
  • PGCE (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the online update service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 relevant references that we can approach
  • A confident approach, knows how to adapt well in different situations
