Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Job description

Behaviour Support Assistant- Support a Child with ADHD on a 1:1 basis

  • Experience working alongside children with specific behavioural difficulties
  • Experience working in an SEN provision would be preferable
  • Opportunities for short and longer term work

The Autumn term has seen an influx of mainstream Primary schools approach Teaching Personnel in order to supply behaviour support assistants on a longer term basis. With this in mind, and a busy Autumn 2 term ahead of us, I am now actively seeking experienced behaviour support assistants who can be available to take up longer term work within the Lancashire area.

The roles tend to vary… some schools have required full-time support (27+hours) while others have opted to support on a part-time basis, usually during Maths and English morning sessions. However many hours completed in school, it is fair to say that the Behaviour Buddy Scheme has been a huge success recently and so if you have experience in a care or education setting, working alongside children with ADHD or Autism then please do not hesitate to contact me as we may have the perfect role for you after the October half term holidays.

I can be contacted in the office on 01772 842155 or by email steven.lamb@teachingpersonnel.com. If you do contact me, please expect to be asked about your recent experience with behaviour as this is a necessity for any of the Behaviour Buddy roles upcoming in November.
