Are you a graduate who is looking to secure a teaching assistant position from September so you can obtain a place on a teacher training course in 2017?
A Hackney Primary School is looking for graduates who are seeking a teaching assistant post from immediate effect. You will be supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties/special educational needs on a cross-curricular basis, providing you with excellent experience ahead of an initial teacher training course/career as an educational psychologist.
School Information
My client is a large primary school located in the East London Borough of Hackney. The school covers a large site and has expanded greatly over the past three years, with many new department buildings being built. As a result, classrooms are extremely modern and pupils have access to excellent facilities.
Pupils with specific learning difficulties/special educational needs are well supported by teaching assistants and some pupils are given extra support in the school’s provision unit. The provision unit allows pupils to receive individual support outside of the classroom- giving them sole focus and attention.
The Position
You will be joining the school as a teaching assistant from January 2017 and your role will be multifaceted. Primarily based in the classroom, in all subject areas, you will be supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties such as ADHD, ASC, MLD, etc...
Applicant Requirements
To apply for this this position you must be educated to degree level and have some experience of working with young people or children with SEN/SPLD. Additionally, you should be looking to use this position to use this position to develop yourself ahead of a career as a secondary school teacher/educational psychologist.
If you’re interested in the role please contact me on 020 7593 3072 or email your CV across to peter.grima@teachingpersonel.com.
