Year 2 Teaching Assistant

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Are you a Teaching Assistant or childcare assistant in the Liskeard area who is seeking a new role from September? Or someone who has gained a relevant childcare qualification and is now seeking the opportunity to start their career in the classroom?

We work with a wealth of the primary schools in the Liskeard area, all who seek support from supply teaching assistants. More often than not, the roles we work on become permanent, but there is equally more than enough work available for Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible supply basis if they wish.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in EYFS or KS1 but candidates with experience in older age groups can certainly transfer their skills. We would like to help you to find your perfect full-time position or help you to have a fantastic work life balance and choose your hours each week. We can introduce you to your most local schools so you can build relationships with staff and pupils alike. Once you start to visit schools on a supply basis regularly, you will begin to feel part of the team and will be requested back each week.

If you are more focussed on starting a full-time role, we will actively market your skills to school Head Teachers and will provide you with access to vacancies that aren't always advertised online. We will match you with the role and school you suit best and support you throughout the process of gaining a permanent school contract.

We are here to help YOU, with what YOU want to do, so please do not be afraid to call and enquire if you are unsure if you have the relevant experience or if you have a specific requirement for your working pattern. We already help thousands of people in the UK to find work each day and Cornwall is one of the best places for flexible supply work. Please do check out our google reviews to find out more about local people's experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
