Teaching Personnel have been approached by a large Primary school in Burnley to recruit a full-time year 2 Teaching Assistant. The role is to commence after half-term on a long-term basis. Teaching Personnel have worked closely with the school for a number of years to provide them with high calibre staff. High standards must be maintained and the successful candidate must therefor be experienced, come with excellent references and be highly dependable. There is the potential for the position to continue on to a school's contract for the right person in the future. The school offer outstanding facilities, a supportive staff team and an outstanding commitment to developing the careers of support assistant. 

You would be required to:

• Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
• Work across classes (approx. 28-31 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning
• Be able to work within year 1 supporting Phonics and speech/language development
• Effectively support in preperation for assessments
• Assist in the management of behaviour
• Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting maths, reading, and writing abilities
