Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of schools in the East Lancashire area. A Church of England Primary School located in Accrington requires a Year 2 Teaching Assistant from the start of March 2019. The role is one that will require a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the classroom. You must have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and expectations in Year 2.

The class is average sized with children from varied backgrounds; the majority of pupils are white British. Behaviour in school has been reported 'GOOD' and pupils show good progress across KS1 and KS2. The role is to support the whole class and work with different ability groups, deliver Maths and English interventions and support those who are not reaching 'Age Related Expectations'. You are also required to support the children who are reaching 'Above Age Related Expectations' and deliver more in depth Maths and English interventions to ensure they are being furthered to their full potential.

The salary is based on a 6.5 hour day, Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between £9-£11 per hour.
