Year 2 Teacher - Houghton - Le - Spring

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a fantastic primary School located in Houghton - Le - Spring which has become an integral part of the local community. The School are highly regarded in the area and pride themselves in the fact the staff are very close with strong relationships formed between Teachers, Students and Parents alike. They are currently looking to welcome a Year 2 Teacher to lead a class of 30 enthusiastic and vibrant children who have shown excellent potential while working towards their KS1 SATs. The position is a Full Time role to cover maternity leave, set to begin in April 2019 and will be ongoing till the end of academic year with potential to secure a permanent position depending on the outcome.

Details of role:

  • Teaching a Year 2 Class of 30 pupils with 1 Teaching Assistant
  • Part time role commencing 5th of April 2019 on a full time basis
  • Must use initiative and present excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • Be responsible for presenting and preparing lesson plans that cater to the needs of all abilities
  • Marking work to promote and facilitate Positive Pupil Development
  • Located close to local bus links with free car parking available on the school grounds

The role requires:

  • UK recognised QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Knowledge in regard to current Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • A passion to deliver the highest quality of education through a range of enrichment activities and creative teaching
  • Willingness to make a difference to assist the school in meeting requirements and raising standards
  • Valid DBS (A Child Workforce that is accessible through the Update Service)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (Right to work in the UK documentation)
