A client school in Tunbridge Wells is currently looking for a KS1 teacher for the split Year 1/2 class.
The class will have 30 children (1 with an EHC plan) and two Teaching Assistants.
The school is a friendly, open, vibrant school with pupils are at the heart of everything that is done.
The school is small by primary school standards with up to 105 pupils on site. The small size means that pupils are known to all teaching staff, something which means pastoral care can be very personalised. There are three buildings with classrooms situated in each, and Early Years classroom with direct access to an Early Years area, a large playground and an adjacent playing field which means pupils can go outside for playtimes and lunchtimes.
The school is a voluntary aided, Church of England Primary School with close links with the parish church, situated a stone’s throw from the school.
The school are very excited and proud by their curriculum and the wealth of experiences on offer to pupils. As a staff, the school endeavor to create a rich and vibrant set of experiences that support learning in the classroom and help support the development of the whole child. The aim is when pupils leave - in Year 6 - they have the skills, attributes and attitude to thrive in their chosen secondary school.
This is a 'Good' school where staff and governors work hard to ensure that all the pupils feel safe, valued and enjoy school with everyone involved in the school committed to ensuring that the school’s vision and values are felt and practiced on a daily basis. They strive for academic excellence for all and develop each child as well-rounded, confident, resilient learners.
The staff are a dedicated and committed team who take change in their stride and embrace it as they aim to make learning an exciting experience for all.
