A busy Primary School in the Lancaster LA1 area are currently looking to hire a full time, experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a proactive and dedicated KS1 team, starting in January 2026.

This opportunity is based in a ‘GOOD’ Lancaster primary school, who need a committed teacher who can assist in identifying specific gaps in pupil knowledge and building on the current curriculum to provide a more well-rounded education for the children.

The right candidate will have experience working across the KS1 years and have an in-depth knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum. Due to a high percentage of SEN pupils at this school any experience with special educational needs would be beneficial for this role.  This position could move into a school-based contract for the right candidate.

What we are looking for:

  • Recent experience as a Year 2 Teacher is essential
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum
  • Experience with SEN would be beneficial
  • A compassionate and understanding attitude
  • Dedicated to raising attainment
  • Based in Lancaster or can reliably commute
