Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant - Blackburn

A Primary Academy situated in Blackburn is looking to employ an SEN Teaching Assistant. Teaching Personnel are working closely with the Head Teacher to get a clear understanding of the schools needs and requirements to ensure they get a suitable new member of staff. The role is one that will require a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the classroom. This position would be long term and to start after February half term until July 2019.

The class is average sized with a catchment of mainly white British heritage children. As this is a specialist teaching assistant role, the school will be looking to question the applying candidates about their recent experience working alongside children with Autism. You would be in the Year 2 class supporting a child 1:1 with diagnosed Autism which can lead to aggressive behaviour.

The salary is based on a 6.5 hour day, Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between £9-£11 per hour.
