Year 2 Class Teacher - Primary School in Accrington

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £100-£160 per day

Start date: November 2019

End date: November 2020

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a passionate and well motivated class teacher on behalf of a two-form entry primary school in Accrington. The role is to cover a maternity leave therefore is more than likely to be a full year starting in November 2019. You will be expected to undertake the full role of the class teacher which includes full planning, delivery and assessment of the National Curriculum. The Year 2 Teacher will be given adequate timetabled PPA time to plan alongside their parallel teacher and have the use of a skilled Teaching Assistant in class that currently takes a lead in Maths and English intervention groups.

The class you would be teaching are average sized with a mixed catchment of white British and Asian heritage. Feedback from Teaching Personnel staff who have been in school recently to cover short term absences have said the school is lovely and is a pleasure to work in. The Head Teacher has commented that they want to employ a candidate with a proven track record of raising attainment. You must also be able to create a purposeful and engaging learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff.
