Year 2 Class Teacher needed in Blackburn Primary School - Sept.

A Primary School in Blackburn is in need of an experienced Year 2 Practitioner to start in September for the new academic year. The Head teacher is currently looking to source a Primary practitioner who has experience teaching in KS1 with a proven track record of raising attainment; particularly in Maths and English (Reading and Writing and Year 2 SATS).

The Head teacher is keen to support the new teaching staff and wants to extend and expand their current knowledge by placing them on relevant courses which will expand their CPD. The school has remained a 'Good' school by Ofsted over the passing years and the levels of pupil attainment and achievement has always followed with this accordingly.

The school has an intake of children from variable social backgrounds; including children from affluent backgrounds and comparatively children from more challenging and socially deprived backgrounds. Due to this, their can be elements of challenging behaviour, so strong behaviour management is required. The Head Teacher has noted that the behaviour is 'generally good' and that the overall ability of the children within school falls in line with 'At' and 'Below' 'Age Related Expectations'.

The Head Teacher would like the Practitioner to have a more practical approach to Teaching and use interactive resources in order to capture the children's interest in learning. The Class is a smaller number of 24; however, their individual needs are quite varied. Due to this, the confidence to differentiate efficiently is crucial.

Job Type: Full-time (September Start)

Salary: £100-£130 per day

Monday to Friday (40 hours)
