Year 2 Behavioural Support Assistant - West Derby - Immediate Start

Working with a Year 2 student with behavioural needs, the role based in a West Derby Primary School will start immediately. If the student responds well to the successful candidate there is a strong possibility of progressing throughout the academic year and the rest of their Primary education.

Ideally the successful candidate will have prior experience of working with pupils with behavioural needs and have a TEAM-TEACH qualification. However, your main focus is to support the pupil on a one-to-one basis, therefore you need to be committed, reliable and patient as the pupil can be physically challenging and easily distracted.

The Primary school, graded as 'Good' by Ofsted, is located in the West Derby area of Liverpool and is easily accessible by public transport. The school prides itself on its supportive environment for both pupils and staff members alike. The Senior Leadership Team are keen to provide various CPD opportunities, providing staff numerous training courses to facilitate their development.

Successful candidates must possess the following;

  • A current DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Two professional references within the last three years
  • A professional attitude, committed to the safeguarding of young people

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
