Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a friendly, compassionate and eager Learning Support Assistant for a new opportunity within one of our 'Good' (OFSTED) Primary schools, located in Chelsea.

The ideal candidate must relate to children on an individual level as well as creating a fun, stimulating and safe environment (in association with the school's visions and ethos), whilst maintaining high standards of education.

The role :

You will be looking after a Year 2 student with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties on a one-to-one basis. The child works well with the curriculum therefore the academic support will be fairly minimal, however a very nurturing and patient profile is required from the right candidate. You must be compassionate and eager to learn about Special Educational Needs, work well alongside the SENCo, and provide continuous support to the child in order to prepare him to fit in older year groups and integrate well with the other children in and out of the school.

This is a long-term position, Monday to Friday (school hours). The ideal candidate must have previous school based and/or SEN related experience. Any certificates, diplomas or other qualifications related to a Education and/or Special Educational Needs are desirable (but not compulsory).

What else?

- You must be in possession of an up-to-date CHILD WORKFORCE DBS (registered on the Update Service) or willing to apply for one (full assistance provided).

- We are only able to accept applications from UK residents with a proven right to work in the UK. You must living in London and/or have plans to move to London in the near future and/or be willing to travel to Kensington or to Hammersmith.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
