Teaching assistant needed in Swansea

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Year 1 teaching assistant to work on a part time basis in one of their client Primary schools in Swansea.

The role lasts for two terms initially and there is the possible flexibility of a permanent contract on offer for the right candidate, giving both parties the option of a probationary period.

All staff work very hard at this school to build and maintain superb working relationships with children and parents to ensure that our children achieve and attain all that they are capable of.

The teaching assistant should have knowledge and understanding of:

• the needs of young children;

• child development and the ways in which children learn;

• the roles played by various adults in a child’s education;

• behaviour management strategies;

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
