A Primary School in St Helens is seeking a hard working and enthusiastic teaching assistant to become part of the team on a temporary basis following on from October half term.
As a Year 1 teaching assistant you will be responsible for ensuring and aiding young pupil's learning in the early years of Key Stage 1.
Candidates must demonstrate patience in the class room as well as being able to deliver and display strong teaching skills. Ideal teaching assistants will be able to appropriately deliver the national curriculum keeping in line with set school policies.
Work will comprise of 5 days a week - planning of lessons, delivery and assessment of pupils are all part of this role. You must be able to create an environment in which will support and monitor the progress of pupils.
The school itself is easily accessible off the M62 motorway with a wide range transport links available including trains and buses.
Level 2 qualification is essential, however, this is a suitable job prospect for final year students seeking placement. If this is the case then excellent reference/recommendations would be required.
