SEN Teaching Assistant required, KS1, M21

  • KS1 Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working in KS1
  • Phonics knowledge beneficial

A larger than average primary school in Manchester (M21) area is looking for an energetic teaching assistant to join their KS1 team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis. Experience working with children on the autistic spectrum would be desirable but isn’t essential. The school prides itself on ‘making learning irresistible’ for its children, so the right candidate will abide by this ethos and explore alternative methods for assisting teaching.

The ideal candidate will:

? Have experience working within KS1

? Provided outstanding 1:1 support to an autistic child in year 1

? Have a compassionate and caring approach to supporting childrens learning
