We require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in a Stockton primary school with a child in KS1 with additonal learning needs.
The role will involve:
-Supporting the pupil on a full time 1:1 basis
-Encouraging and motivating the pupil to take part in as much of full class learning as possible
-De escalating situations of distress and challenging behaviour
-Working closely with the class teacher to ensure activities are differentiated to suit the pupil's needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
-A calm and resilient manner with a nurturing approach
-Experience of supporting children with Autism and or BESD/SEMH.
-A level 3 qualification in supporting children and learning or equivalent
The position will begin in April and will run until the end of July 2017. The role will be reviewed at the end of the summer with potential to be extended and with the chance to be taken on to direct contract for the new academic year.

experienced in Literacy and Phonics Intervention and small group teaching for a maternity cover at a lovely primary school in Middlesbrough. The position will begin in September and will finish at Easter 2015. The chosen candidate will assist within Years 1 and 2 on a daily basis and will be required to deliver work set by the teacher to focused groups of pupils. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with pupils with dyslexia and emotional and social needs. Please note that this position is specifically for Teaching Assistants with a Level 3 qualification or above.
