Are you a recently qualified or experienced Year 1 teacher? Do you want to have the opportunity to join a school that has a very 'family feel' to it and both pupils and staff are supported to achieve their full potential? Could you support a Catholic Ethos?

If so a larger than average sized Roman Catholic primary school, located in Westhoughton area, recently graded as Outstanding by Ofsted, is currently looking to appoint a Year 1 class teacher to join their already successful team of practitioners.

You will need to:

  • Have a strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum.
  • Have a minimum of a one year experience working within Year 1.
  • Have a strong phonic knowledge.
  • Be able to demonstrate good practice, ensuring that all pupils are able to make progress.
  • Be adaptable and able to meet the needs of all children in order to create an inclusive environment, in order to enable all pupils to succeed.
  • Be a good communicator

The school is looking to appoint someone as soon as possible, with interviews taking place from Monday 16th April. Interviews will consist of a 15 minute phonics observation and an informal conversation with the head Teacher.

The school is located just of the M61 motorway and can be easily accessed from Wigan, Salford and Bolton.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
